This fall, we are planning a unifying fall emphasis. The sermon series "Get in the Game" will use DESIGN personal exercise books, weekly small group study questions, and memory verses. DESIGN stands for Desires + Experiences + Skills + Individuality + Gifts = Niche.
The Elder Board, Intentional Interim Senior Pastor (IISP), Pastors and Directors, and congregational stakeholders are beginning to work on a process to refresh and clarify our mission, vision and values statements. The proposed statements were shared at presentations in October.
All of the NL Moore recommendations shared at the Annual Meeting are being reviewed and evaluated for prioritization and next steps.
The search committee may be formed sometime early next year to begin exercises designed to prepare them for the interview process but will not begin the search until the Elder Board and SLT determine the right timing.
Prayer is not just a part but the cornerstone of our search for a new Senior Pastor at Calvary Church. We believe that seeking God's guidance through prayer is essential in discerning His will and finding the right person to lead our congregation. The Elder Board has contracted with NL Moore to help us navigate the search process. They are a nationally-known consulting group that specializes in guiding churches through leadership transitions.
NL Moore will compile the Focus Group feedback and survey results to create a candidate profile as we search for a Senior Pastor to lead Calvary Church.

We are pleased to share that Rev. Dr. Richard Schoenert accepted our invitation to serve as Calvary’s Intentional Interim Senior Pastor. He began preaching on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
The general expectation is 12-18 months from when the search team is formed with a high expectation of church-wide prayer and participation.
The search team will be formed with diverse members of Calvary Church representing both campuses and broad groups of age and families. This will occur after we receive the results from NL Moore, evaluate our Survey Results Plans and implement actions moving forward. The search team will be selected by the Elder Board.
This typically happens in 12-18 months from when the search team is formed. We know that we are in pursuit of a strategic leader that God has already prepared for us. We don’t know God’s timing, but we trust that He has many intentional things in store for us during this in-between time.
Per our church constitution, there will be a required vote of the membership for the hire of a Senior Pastor.
