Church Chair

For fun I like to... hike or walk outside all year round, read for relaxation, workout with a group or friend, spend time with family, and sleepovers with our grandkids. 

My family consists of... my wife Tammie, two married adult children (Erin & Dan), and grandsons Grayden, Cameron, Brennan, and August with two granddaughters on the way! 

An unusual job I have done... I grew up on a dairy farm and my mom and I did most of the milking before and after school. I also cut all the hay every summer and picked most of the rocks (which I enjoyed believe it or not!).

Volunteering outside of church... I am a peer-to-peer mentor at the U of M and started a support group for cancer patients and caregivers. Right now I am focusing on one-to-one mentoring for newly diagnosed patients. I also mentor students interested in pursuing a career in finance/investments and am a volunteer hiking group leader. 

Things I love about Calvary Church... that we are Bible based and Jesus-focused. We are a generous church, helping people in our congregation and community. We have many opportunities for people to reach the world and our communities to tell them about Jesus. 

My passions...The quiet of the early mornings is my time to connect with God, read and memorize scripture, and write in my journal. My grandkids are a passion, a priority, and a privilege to be available to invest in them. Throughout my career and into retirement, I am passionate about developing people and seeing them grow and mature in whatever role they are in.
