Using Your Individuality Traditional
Series: Get in the Game
Summary
Another word for Individuality is temperament or personality. It refers to the way we think, the way we feel, and the way we act. Part of our personality comes from hereditary factors, part of it comes from our environment, and part of it is learned. Our personality influences every decision we make, how we deal with change or don’t deal with it, how we solve problems, what makes us happy or sad, and even what we think is funny or not funny at all. If we like to organize things and enjoy details, we should be in a service area that allows us to use those strengths. On the other hand, if being around people energizes us more, we should consider a people-oriented career and/or service area. We will experience greater enjoyment in our vocation and serve in the church most effectively when we work and serve in positions that reflect our personality preference.
