Sitting with Mary at the Crossroads

When you are a person, a family, or a church at a crossroads, it is tempting to just launch into a lot of activity. Jesus said that his friend Mary, unlike her sister Martha, had chosen the "best portion" the "one thing" that had eternal value: to just listen to Jesus. So while facing the crossroads, resist stepping out before sitting down, choosing stillness over striving, and listening over launching.
