Calvary Impact partners Lee and Regina Bloch have invited a Calvary team to come and serve in southern Brazil. We will come alongside several small churches near the coastal city of Florianopolis in the Palhoca and Pontal neighborhoods. The plan is to serve in community outreach projects (including medical) and construction of a church addition for a planned after school kids program. Our direct partnership is with Pastor Odair Leal and his wife Ana. The area we will be serving is predominantly people of German and Italian descent and the spiritual needs are great as syncretism – mixed with Catholicism, voodoo and witchcraft dominate the religious landscape. It is a great opportunity to be on the ground as pioneers with this new short-term partnership.
