Students in grades 6-8 will spend time on the Lake Traverse Reservation, and have the opportunity to learn the rich history and unique challenges of the community. Service opportunities include children’s programming, working at local organizations, and painting, beautification, and minor repair projects to support local homeowners and tribal partners. Students will learn about Dakota culture from a community friend and explore a state park that is significant to the local tribe.
