When Jesus encounters two disciples on a hill country road after his resurrection, he teaches them how they are to read their Scriptures by revealing how “Moses and all the Prophets” anticipate the Messiah (Luke 24:25-27). For many Christians, the concept of Bible prophecy evokes lists of predictions and fulfillments with little bearing on day-to-day life. But Jesus shows these early disciples that his fulfillment of Scripture is essential to the proclamation of the gospel and the mission of every Christian (Luke 24:47).
In this course you will first learn how Jesus fulfills the Old Testament. Then after studying the basics of biblical theology, you will discover how reading all of Scripture as a story about Jesus challenges you to live on mission.
