Intentional Interim Senior Pastor

Our Intentional Interim Pastor, Rich Schoenert, served as a senior pastor for 43 years before moving into interim pastor ministry. The last 24 of those years were spent as Senior Pastor here at Calvary. Since “retirement” as our Senior Pastor Emeritus, Rich has served 6 churches as an intentional interim pastor with VitalChurch Ministry. Rich also continues to train and equip pastors and other church leaders in Ukraine, something he’s done for 30 years, as our Global Impact Partner. Rich graduated from Gordon-Conwell Seminary with both the M.Div. and D.Min. degrees. 

 

For fun I like to…travel, read biographies, watch sports, and ride my recumbent trike.  

My family consists of… my wife, Valerie, our 3 adult children, and 9 grandchildren.

It’s my dream to…tour the key European cities of the Reformation. 

An unusual job I’ve done is…running the produce department for a small, family-owned grocery store. 

My goal at Calvary Church is to…Seek to prepare the church for the new senior leader.
