Welcome New Members!!!

Several men and women have recently joined Calvary Church, so check out the New Member Flyer HERE and see who you need to congratulate for taking this step.

Compassion Online

If you were unable to join us for the Compassion Journey live, you can still access the experience—from the comfort of your own home! Compassion’s goal is to address the problem of children growing up under the reality and weight of extreme poverty. Hear Patience tell her story of life in Uganda and journey with her from poverty to hope. The online event is free and appropriate for all ages. If you’d like to sponsor a child through Compassion, you can text to #83393 and enter “Calvary” to get connected or CLICK HERE.

How to Connect with Our Muslim Neighbors

Taught by Bruce Adamson, Converge partner and Steve Taylor, Calvary Church member
Mondays, November 2-23 / 7-8:30pm

Meeting ID: 811 0979 0523

Despite growing numbers of Muslims and Christians living or working next to each other here in the Twin Cities and all over the world, major barriers remain. Not only do mistrust and fear get in the way, but so do simple misunderstandings. How we as believers respond to Islamic beliefs and how we think of Muslims could be one of the most significant issues of our time. Join us for a four-session video discussion with a corresponding participant’s guide where author and expert in Muslim-Christian relations, Carl Medearis, helps us understand the basics of the Islamic faith, the Muslim view of Jesus, and how we as followers of Jesus should interact with our Muslim neighbors and coworkers.

Contact Bonnie Johnson, Ministry Assistant, to register and get study materials.

Learning Communities

Check out two new options for in-person Learning Communities this fall HERE.

Daniel: Living Amidst Lions

The primary message of Daniel is the sovereignty of God throughout history and over human authority. Daniel clearly declares that in the end, all worldly kingdoms will be replaced by the one true kingdom, the Kingdom of God. The story of Daniel teaches us that there will be trials, sadness, and challenges for God’s children until the end of time. However, those who are faithful to the Lord will be elevated to glory, honor, and everlasting life in God’s Kingdom.

This will be an inductive Bible study led by Tucker Anderson, Discipleship Pastor, and Ralph Gustafson, Senior Adults & Volunteer Development Pastor. Participants will be expected to read the assigned chapters in advance of the weekly study and to readily enter into discussions of the text.

Mondays, September 21-December 7 / 4-5pm
No class Monday, November 23.
